Build a family home

The family home is essential to our ministry in the village. The construction of the home confirms to the village leadership that we will deliver what we promised. The construction also communicates that something significant is happening in the village. The home draws crowds from far away villages. We have observed many visitors have their picture taken in front of the home.

The design of the home was sparked by Pastor Prince Kampomo on a drive through the town of Lunzu. He spotted the home from the main road. We drove up to the home and discovered that squatters were living there. They were very kind and let us tour the home and take measurements. We applied the design to the first home in Pangeti village. We have made multiple changes since then to reduce cost and increase functionality.

The home is not fancy per U.S. standards. However, it is the best home in the village. The home includes three bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, storage room and a shower room. There is no electricity or plumbing in the home. Therefore, the double outdoor toilet serves an essential purpose.

Lastly, the home is very cost effective. We can build and furnish a 3-bedroom home for about $42,500 USD.
